Blended for the soils of the Intermountain area. Feeds and strengthens new lawns, ornamental shrubs, trees, flowers & garden vegetables.

Directions for use

  • Lawns: Apply 5 to 8 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. for new lawns before seeding. Rake fertilizer into the top two inches of soil, and then spread seed.
  • Gardens: Apply 18 to 25 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. before planting and mix into the top 3 to 5 inches of soil.

Additional applications may be required on some vegetables as they grow and mature. Apply 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 lbs. per 100 sq. ft., or side dress row crops by applying 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 lbs. per 100 ft. row, in a band 2 inches to the side of the growing plants and 1 to 2 inches under the soil.

Treats up to 8,000 sq. ft.

  • Shade trees: Apply at about 1 lb. per 100 sq. ft., or 1 lb. for each inch of the trunks diameter, in the root zone of trees and shrubs, and mix into the top 4 to 6 inches of soil or as deeply as possible without disturbing the roots.

Trees may be fertilized by drilling 1 inch holes at 18 inch intervals within the drip line of (area directly under) the tree.

Pour 1 tablespoon of 16-16-8 in each hole. This need only be done once each year, in the Spring before growth starts, or after the leaves drop in the Fall.

  • Evergreens: Apply at about 1 lb. per 100 sq. ft., in the Spring after the danger of frost is passed.
  • Flowers: Apply at about 1 lb. per 100 sq. ft., and mix it into the top 2 or 3 inches of soil before planting. Reapply at the same rate about every 6 weeks.
